Model Horse Performance is a magazine published four times a year featuring tips, how to articles and patterns, activities to stretch your creativity, contests, show ring hints, hobby highlights and more!

The goal of Model Horse Performance is to inspire hobbyists to delve deeper into the arts and crafts associated with model horses, and help create positive live show experiences in the performance arena.

Hey everyone! The final subscriber issues shipped out March 10th, so they're all on the way. If yours doesn't arrive within two weeks, please drop us an email ;).

Features: How to make poles and barrels, another great article on email etiquette by Sarahbeth Barlas, a number of creative speed event ideas, as well as some great advice from Marilyn Fowler, a great harness class overview by Kim Ford, chariot racing, the beautiful work of Emily McFadden, harness racing, and chuckwagon racing.  I even snuck in an old photo of my grandpa's hay wagon just for fun!

Next Up: More harness helps, how to make a racing saddle, Spanish and Portuguese tack, and ideas for those "other performance" classes. If you would like to write something related to these themes or just want to send us some ideas that work for you, we'd love to hear from you!

Rate Changes  The costs of issues are now $5.05 U.S., $5.60 Canadian, $6.90 Other International,  It seems that the old rates are holding, so there are no changes expected in the near future, unless the weight of the magazine changes.  EBay prices unfortunately have been raised on all issues to more accurately reflect extra costs incurred by using their service, and it's possible we may eventually drop the eBay purchase option.

 Model Horse Performance is looking for well written articles with clear, detailed images.  Topics needed include how to articles on making tack, props, and doll clothing, rehairing dolls, all aspects of live showing  (especially performance), live show hosting, organization, hobby sales, and new shower tips. Preferred length is 500 - 1000 words, but longer articles or series articles will also be considered.
